FROM CHOOSING A COURSE TO THE FIRST LESSON

Let’s clear up your
questions together.

Short guides to an age-appropriate start, preparing for lessons, and communicating with the teacher.

Think about age, interests, and experience together.

First, listen to what they’re curious about

What does your child want to make or understand? Game rules, visual storytelling, writing code, or everyday money decisions can each be a different starting point.

Use age as a starting point

Look at the age ranges in the catalog. On their own, they don’t decide whether a course is a good fit. Prior experience, reading skills, and the lesson schedule matter too.

One course, one start

You don’t have to choose all three areas at once. Start with one course; whether to continue is up to you.

A little preparation for the first lesson.

  • Set up a computer with an internet connection (a tablet for First Steps) and a comfortable place to work.
  • Check the sound, microphone, and connection before the lesson.
  • Confirm any course-specific software and account requirements with the teacher.
  • Depending on your child’s age, plan for an adult to be nearby to help.
  • Give your child time for their own attempts; don’t step in with the solution right away.

The exact lesson day and time are shared along with the group schedule.

What questions can you ask the teacher?

Teacher profiles and the new term’s teaching team will be added here once they are confirmed. For now, you can ask these questions during the call:

  • How do you work with this age group?
  • How do you notice when a student is struggling?
  • How does the lesson make room for a child to develop their own solution?
  • What topics do you contact the family about, and when?
  • When and how do you share updates on progress?
QUESTIONS ON YOUR MIND

Let’s clear a few things up.

If you can’t find the answer to something, you can talk to our education advisor.

Are all three areas included in one package?

No. Coding, AI and financial literacy are complementary programs, each chosen and purchased separately.

Is there a free trial lesson?

No. There is no free trial or introductory lesson. You choose the course and the package together with our education advisor.

Where and how often are lessons held?

Lessons are held live online: one lesson a week, 90 minutes (45 minutes in courses for ages 5–7). The full program is 32 weeks and 32 lessons; the Python courses last two years, and FinProje lasts 16 weeks. The day and time are set in the group plan.

Which course is right for my child?

Consider the age range in the catalog together with your child’s interests and experience. The 2-minute course finder suggests a starting point; you make the final decision together with an education advisor.

Is enrollment open for the AI and financial literacy programs?

Yes. Like the coding courses, the AI and financial literacy courses are held live online, and enrollment is open; prices are the same for all courses: 30,000 TL for 16 weeks and 55,000 TL for 32 weeks.

Is there a discount if we take two courses together?

If you buy two or more 32-week packages together (two courses for one child, or the same or different courses for siblings), you get 25% off each of those packages: 82,500 TL instead of 110,000 TL for two packages. Each course is chosen separately; this discount doesn’t apply to 16-week packages.

What name did you use before?

We previously used the name Algorithmics İstanbul; since 2026, we have been operating as İstanbul Algoritma. Our website (istanbulalgoritma.com), phone number (+90 212 993 01 11), and email address (info@istanbulalgoritma.com) are the same. The Algorithmics brand belongs to its owner; İstanbul Algoritma and this site are not owned by Algorithmics.

LAST STEP: A CALL

Their age, their curiosity, their own path.

Tell us your child’s age and interests; sending the form is not an enrollment or a purchase. When our advisor calls, you’ll decide together on the first step and what comes next.
